The Las Vegas Veterinary Specialty Center is a specialty practice comprised of board-certified and residency-trained doctors licensed veterinary technicians and highly skilled support teams. Our services include Cardiology Internal Medicine Oncology Ophthalmology Surgery Neurology Physical Rehabilitation Anesthesia & Pain Management and Radiology.

We are seeking a compassionate detail-oriented PACU Veterinary Assistant to join our surgical care team. This role is essential in supporting patients during post-anesthesia recovery by ensuring comfort safety and close monitoring. The ideal candidate remains calm under pressure is attentive to detail and is dedicated to providing exceptional patient care.
- Monitor patients during post-operative and post-anesthetic recovery
- Accurately record vital signs and identify changes in patient condition
- Assist with pain management warming positioning and comfort measures
- Maintain a clean organized PACU and surgical recovery area
- Communicate patient updates clearly to veterinarians and technicians
- Assist with patient transfers and support emergency situations as needed
- Provide compassionate care to patients and reassurance to pet families when appropriate
- 2 years of experience as a Veterinary Assistant in a general practice
- Preference given to candidates with experience in a veterinary specialty hospital setting
- Ability to thrive in a highly collaborative environment and build long-term relationships with colleagues clients and the community
- Reliability organization and a commitment to delivering high-level patient care
- A passion for lifelong learning and continuous improvement
- Excellent communication and organizational skills with a strong focus on client service
- Honesty integrity and a desire to have fun while doing meaningful work
- Friday through Sunday 7:00 PM 7:00 AM
- $19.00 - $22.00an hour based on experience
- $2.00/hr swing shift $4.00/hr overnight shift
