Job Summary
Conducts diagnostic testing and assists in the clinical evaluation and treatment of patients with vestibular disorders. Continuously monitors patients during testing and provides appropriate support as required.Does this position require Patient Care Yes
Essential Functions:
Conduct vestibular diagnostic tests including:
Video nystagmography (VNG) Computerized Dynamic Post urography (CDP) and vestibular evoked myogenic potentials (VEMP).
Calibrate equipment and troubleshoot technical issues.
Collect and document patient medical history current medications and test results.
Assist in the evaluation and treatment of patients with balance and vestibular disorders.
Communicate test results and treatment recommendations to physicians and other healthcare providers.
Educate patients on vestibular disorders and treatment options.
Maintain accurate records of patient care and test results.
Adhere to infection control and safety protocols.
Perform routine administrative and clerical duties relating to a clinical service in practice office including:
Make patient appointments and maintain appointment records.
Assist callers with routine inquiries and schedule appointments.
Scan documents to patient medical records/EPIC.
Provides assistance and training to others in these areas.

Qualifications
Education
High School Diploma or Equivalent required or associates degree Audiology preferred

Licenses and Credentials
Experience:
Experience in conducting vestibular diagnostic tests 1-2 years preferred but not required
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
- Knowledge of vestibular anatomy and physiology as well as vestibular diagnostic testing procedures.
- Strong technical skills including the ability to calibrate equipment and troubleshoot technical issues.
- Excellent communication and patient care skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of patient information.
- Ability to operate and maintain various diagnostic equipment.
