Barton Malow is seeking a Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) Manager to join our team in St. Louis this role you will lead VDC delivery across complex projects and pursuits partnering with project teams designers and clients to drive constructability optimize schedule and cost and advance how technology-enabled construction gets done. This is the right opportunity for a construction technology leader who wants to mentor teams shape processes and make a measurable impact on projects that matter.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee VDC services across multiple projects and pursuits managing quality schedule and budget accountability
- Develop and maintain BIM Execution Plans tailored to each projects requirements and mentor VDC Engineers through the process
- Execute core VDC workflows including 4D scheduling 3D coordination model-based quantity takeoff reality capture site logistics and Digital Twin setup
- Develop and deliver VDC training to project teams through formal sessions webinars and on-the-job coaching
- Manage VDC-related communications with owners subcontractors architects and engineers; ensure alignment with each projects RFI and change management processes
- Support business development efforts including RFP responses client presentations and identifying opportunities for additional scope
Qualifications
- 8 years of commercial construction experience with direct VDC responsibilities
- Expert proficiency in Autodesk Revit Navisworks BIM 360 and related construction technology platforms
- Proven ability to develop and manage project-level BIM Execution Plans and VDC budgets
- Strong leadership and communication skills with experience mentoring team members and presenting to clients
- Experience supporting business development and pursuit efforts
- Willingness to travel to project sites throughout the St. Louis area
