Varsity Competitive Dance Head Coach

Sparta High Schoolis seeking a passionate experienced and dedicatedVarsity Competitive Dance Coachto lead and develop our competitive dance program.

• Plan and lead practices conditioning and team activities.
• Develop choreography and prepare dancers for competitions and performances.
• Teach proper dance technique strength flexibility and performance skills.
• Promote teamwork sportsmanship discipline and academic success.
• Supervise student-athletes at practices competitions and team events.
• Communicate effectively with students families school staff and athletic administration.
• Follow all district athletic department and MHSAA policies and requirements.

• Previous experience incompetitive dance coaching teaching or team leadership.
• Strong knowledge of dance technique choreography conditioning and competition preparation.
• Experience working with high school-aged dancers preferred.
• Strong communication organization and leadership skills.
• Ability to create a positive inclusive and team-oriented environment.
• Commitment to student-athlete safety development and success.
• CPR/First Aid/AED certification preferred.

Successful candidates must meet all applicable Sparta Public Schools MHSAA and State of Michigan coaching requirements including required background checks and training.

Compensation is based on theSparta Public Schools coaching salary scheduleand applicable district policies.
