The free short application for the Val Verde Unified School District(VVUSD) Teacher Residency at Alder GSE is now open (September 1 2026)! The priority application deadline is October 9 is now recruiting a new cohort for the VVUSDAlder GSE Teacher Residency Program. This innovative and affordable pathway offers aspiring educators a direct route to becoming a full-time teacher in our just one year residents earn both a Masters Degree and a Teaching Credential while gaining hands-on experience in the classroom. The program combines rigorous coursework led by Alder GSE faculty with a mentorship-based co-teaching model in the TK12 classroom to develop highly effective educators. Upon completion of the residency graduates receive priority consideration for full-time teaching positions within VVUSD $23290 tuition (final tuition set in Sept. 2026 for the Class of 2027) BENEFITS$27000 stipend (Residents are not employees of the school)$10000 Golden State Teacher Grant (via either the state or Alder)Up to $5600 in federal grantsAlder Tuition Scholarship of up to $10000Up to $20500 in federal loansPriority hiring consideration for a full-time position
