VA VE Engineer
Location Dearborn MI onsite
Job Description
Bachelors or Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering Automotive Engineering or related field.
5 years of experience in automotive product development or VAVE/cost engineering.
Strong understanding of automotive systems: Powertrain (engine Transmission driveline and clutch etc)
Experience with manufacturing processes (injection molding part assembly).
Knowledge of cost breakdown and should-cost analysis.
Proficiency in CAD tools (e.g. CATIA NX) and PLM systems.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with OEMs or Tier-1 suppliers.
Familiarity with Ford systems and processes (GPDS WERS AIMS).
Strong supplier collaboration and negotiation skills.
Experience in teardown benchmarking and cost workshops.
