UX Designer, Shopping Design

As a UX Designer for Shopping Design you will design solutions for difficult design and technical challenges that enable customers to make confident buying decisions across our growing and diverse product catalog. Youll craft experiences that are simple fluid and beautiful while working within defined product strategies to deliver the right information at the right time.

Key job responsibilities
* Design solutions for difficult design and technical problems where product strategy is not fully defined

* Create conceptual sketches wireframes high-fidelity mockups and prototypes

* Collaborate effectively across diverse teams and disciplines to drive alignment and efficiency

* Develop and improve design patterns standards and processes that scale for your team

* Lead brainstorming sessions and present at cross-team reviews to demonstrate features and drive design decisions

* Synthesize qualitative and quantitative data (metrics usability studies) to inform product-level customer experience decisions

* Work closely with engineering to incorporate capabilities and constraints of the technology stack

* Balance short- and long-term design requirements against engineering constraints


A day in the life
As a UX Designer for Shopping Design you will be a hands-on designer unafraid to take on the toughest challenges scales their impact with proactive collaboration with other designers and elevate the design quality of the entire team. You will develop strong relationships with fellow designers and partner closely with product engineering and business counterparts throughout the organization to launch bar-raising experiences for customers around the world. You have a passion for solving our customers problems always putting their needs first.

About the team
Youll join the Shopping Design team at Amazona group of designers technologists program and product managers who design the global Amazon shopping experience for customers. We own the end-to-end shopping experience and design the features that make it easy for customers to discover evaluate and transact on Amazon. We enable 300 shopping designers outside of our organization and thousands of tech resources with design patterns systems tools customer insights and best practices to design a cohesive and delightful shopping CX. Our mission is to design magical shopping experiences that customers use daily and love.

- 3 years of UX designer or interaction designer experience
- Have an online portfolio or samples of work on resume demonstrating experience creating great end-to-end user-centered design solutions and patterns across desktop and mobile devices
- Bachelors degree or above in design human-computer interaction (HCI) or Masters degree

- Experience working in a collaborative team and working directly with developers for implementation of designs
- Experience designing and prototyping with tools such as Figma Adobe Creative Cloud or similar

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience qualifications and location.
