THE ROLE

Were seeking atalented andenthusiasticUX Designer tojoin ourgrowingteamand delivercompellingeasyand delightfuluserexperiencesforourhardwareproducts.

This role sitsat the intersection ofphysical productand user experience. Youll design on-deviceUIandinteraction flowswitha relentlessfocusonthe industrial design productand engineeringacross the fulldesignprocess fromproduct conceptsthroughprototyping testingtoolingengineeringbuilds and addition youll driveprocess improvements in HW UX designforbothnew products and the extension of existing products to new markets leveraging cutting-edge technologies to improve how we work and what we make.

KEY RESPONSIBILTIES

• Own the end-to-end user experience interaction modeland on-product interfacesfor a variety ofnew HW productsincludingthephysical UI displays affordancesandfeedback (haptic audio visual)

• Partner with industrial design onUIplacementcontrolfeel labeling and ergonomics consistentlyadvocatingfor the user when manufacturing and cost pressure push the other way.

• Work through hardware and technology constraints with colleagues in product and engineering to deliver experiences that are feasible desirable and viable.

• Build and run usability testing on physical prototypesandturn findings intoimpactful and achievabledesign changes.

• Document UI layoutsinteraction specs state diagrams and UI asset packages that firmware and engineering teamscanbuild from without ambiguity.

• Explore and implementcriticalprocess improvements in how we design and document HW projects using AI and other emerging technologies.

• Contribute to a shared hardware UXdesignsystem includinginteraction patterns iconography terminology and display standards that scale across the portfolio.

ATTRIBUTES & SKILLS

• Bachelors degree in UI/UX Design Industrial Design or a related discipline.

• 3 years designing user experiences for physical products.

• Astrongportfolio showcasing relevanthardwareUX design work.

• Fluency designing inside hard constraints such asdisplay resolution and color depth physical button counts BOM cost certification requirements tooling timelines.

• Hands-on usability research experience with physical prototypes and the judgment to know when a finding warrants a design change.

• Provenexperiencecollaborating with teams across design product and engineering.

• Proficiency with Figma and Adobe Creative Suite; working familiarity with CADtoolssuch asSolidWorksorRhinois preferred.

• Demonstrated fluency and enthusiasmwithAI tools for concept exploration asset productionprocess improvementand documentation.

• Strong attention to detail with the ability to work in an agilefast-pacedenvironment without compromising quality.
