Job Summary
The City of Robinson is seeking an individual to join our Utilities Maintenance Team for a full timeposition that will work primarily in a single discipline such as facility monitoring or maintenance. Duties in this area include but are not limited to: maintain and repair systems and equipment and provide general labor during construction repair and maintenance of City services and facilities. Essential job functions include:
1. Assists in the installation and maintenance of utility lines and system components such as lift stationsand pumping stations.
2. Loads and unloads trucks.
3. Cuts grass and cleans grounds.
4. Performs manual work as required.
5. Operates small implements such as tractors mowers and front end loaders.
6. Operates equipment such as tapping machines heavy trenching machines vactor truck or backhoe.
7. Assists with meter readings when necessary.
8. Checks to see that meters are functioning properly and reports defects.
9. Takes turn-on and turn-off orders. Records readings.
10. Answers routine customer questions and reports complaints to supervisor.
11. Will be available for on-call dates.
12. Performs such other jobs that may be assigned.

Ability to sit stand and transport self from building to building. Employee will be exposed to seasonal temperatures maintaining system. Ability to sit bend stoop lift and climb in small areas. Must be able to lift large valve covers. Employee also lifts pumps valves fittings and other equipment necessary to complete the work. Employee may also be exposed to potentially hazardous chemicals or materials while in the field.
