Job Summary
The Inventory Control and S/R Utility Operator (ICSRUO) will support all aspects of inventory control/material coordinator and shipping responsibilities for both OPGW and Alumoweld products.
Responsibilities
- Investigate inventory inaccuracies (negative values missing inventory etc.) maintains temporary sub-inventory locations (e.g. in transit shipping etc.) determines root causes and develops solutions; provides training to Inventory Control/Receiving/Operation associates as necessary.
- Investigates and resolves operations related operator transaction errors resulting in inventory discrepancies.
- Identify gaps in operator transaction training and create or modify instructions as applicable to support accurate operator transactions.
- Provide operator training as applicable
- Monitors ETQ WOP/FGI Requests
- Investigates WOP requests to determine if subcomponent needs to be returned from DJ and/or Finished Cable needs to be completed with job.
- Performs scrap transactions if WOP Request is denied
- Locates and Preps reels for shipment to DC and/or FGI
- Prepares paperwork needed for shipment and complete Oracle transactions
- Knowledge and support of tactical scheduling of OPGW and Alumoweld products as applicable in case of absences etc.
- Investigate scrap rate/recycled sales relative to historical trends production levels to identify outliers; escalates for further investigation as necessary. Draws scrap level projections and any other information required for S&OP consideration (scrap sale accruals etc.)
- Coordinates and/or performs cycle count process adjustment creation of and adherence to the monthly cycle count calendar.
- Provide OPGW and Alumoweld product shipping support to include ship schedule review packaging perform all associated shipping transactions truck loading and all other shipping related responsibilities as needed.
- Investigate and resolve shipping related discrepancies.
- Perform and support transactions related to wire moves from one facility to another and continue weekend rotational support of the plant to plant shuttle.
- Maintain Material Coordinator and Shipping certification requirements.

Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of manufacturing inventory control and safe forklift operation experience
- Understanding of manufacturing safety standards
- Previous manufacturing / quality related experience in the cable industry
- Oracle QTS and ETQ system knowledge
- Proficient user of Microsoft Outlook Access Word and
- Basic understanding of Environment Health and Safety (EHS) management systems to include general safety rules personal protective equipment hazard recognition behavioral based safety incident reporting requirements and environmental regulations
- Practical Understanding of EHS and quality systems
Working Conditions
- Factory manufacturing environment assigned to shift schedule that will include overtime and weekend coverage as business needs require. The work includes frequent lifting walking and standing; flexibility to provide support at multiple cable facilities (USAC and Ridgeview); as well as in an office environment.
