Job Summary

Position Description:

Join a dynamic and collaborative US Onshore Immigration & Mobility Services team where youll play a key role in supporting employment based immigration programs and helping deliver a seamless experience for employees business leaders and talent acquisition teams. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced immigration professional who enjoys managing complex cases partnering with cross functional stakeholders and contributing to a high performing global team.

As a Consultant you will manage a diverse portfolio of immigration matters provide guidance on immigration processes collaborate with legal and business stakeholders and support strategic workforce mobility initiatives. The role offers exposure to executive level cases opportunities to work on complex immigration scenarios and the chance to influence process improvements in a fast paced global environment.

CGI will consider candidates proximate any US CGI office. CGI utilizes a hybrid working model and partners should be prepared to work on site at a CGI office as needed.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

. Manage employment based immigration cases including green card visa extension transfer and complex immigration filings.
. Partner with Talent Acquisition HR business leaders legal counsel and external immigration providers and Offshore team to ensure timely and compliant case management.
. Review immigration petitions and supporting documentation for accuracy and completeness serving as an authorized signatory where applicable.
. Provide guidance and support on immigration processes timelines compliance requirements and potential risks.
. Coordinate responses to government inquiries employment verification requests and site visit follow up activities.
. Monitor case progress maintain accurate immigration records and case trackers and ensure data integrity.
. Support and mentor offshore team members by providing process guidance and acting as the first point of escalation.
. Manage executive and high priority immigration cases with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.
. Stay current with changes in U.S. immigration laws policies and regulatory requirements and communicate relevant updates to stakeholders.
. Identify opportunities to improve internal processes enhance operational efficiency and deliver an exceptional stakeholder experience.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

. Bachelors degree in Business Human Resources Law International Relations or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
. Proven experience managing U.S. employment based immigration programs in a corporate environment or immigration law firm.
. Strong knowledge of U.S. immigration processes including employment based visas permanent residency (Green Card) processes extensions transfers and related compliance requirements.
. Experience coordinating with immigration attorneys external immigration service providers and government agencies.
. Ability to review immigration documentation and petitions for accuracy completeness and compliance.
. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex immigration concepts to diverse stakeholders.
. Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple cases and competing priorities.
. High attention to detail sound judgment and the ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and experience using case management or immigration tracking systems.
. Strong stakeholder management problem solving and collaboration skills

Preferred qualifications:
. Experience supporting large corporate immigration programs or global mobility functions.
. Prior experience working with executive or high priority immigration cases.
. Experience leading or mentoring team members and supporting offshore or global delivery teams.
. Familiarity with USCIS processes employment verification requests and site visit coordination.
. Experience identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and service delivery.

Desired optional qualifications:
. Experience supporting U.S. corporate immigration programs within a multinational organization.
. Prior experience working with employment based immigration matters including Green Card processes H 1B L 1 TN E 3 and other nonimmigrant visa categories.

Other Information:
CGI is required by law in some jurisdictions to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set level experience relevant training and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit based performance CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $63700.00 $123800.00.
