Job Summary
Colorado Academy seeks a full-time math teaching candidate to cover a leave of absence during the second half of the 2026-2027 school year. The position begins November 16 2026 and ends at the end of the academic year June 4 2026. It includes two sections of Integrated Geometry (9th grade with a focus on Algebra and Geometry) and two sections of Algebra 2 Honors (10th grade) and an advisory. Additionally there is a week of experiential education as part of CAs Interim program during the last week of May that will require participation in and chaperone duties
We seek candidates with experience training and/or a demonstrated interest in teaching math in a student-centered classroom at the secondary school level. Candidates should be interested in working on a team of math teachers implementing an established curriculum.
Candidates should be eager to join a professional community where collaboration is valued and where openness to growth is the norm. Additionally candidates will be expected to share in the day-to-day life of the school community which includes serving as an advisor and event chaperone. Excellent interpersonal skills are required. Demonstrated intercultural competence which we define as the ability to understand and bridge diverse perspectives identities and lived experiences is a must.
As with all CA teachers we ask that our short-term leave replacement math teacher carry out the CA Mission Creating Curious Kind Courageous and Adventurous Learners and Leaders and support the vision of the Upper School.
The pay for this position is prorated for actual days worked based on a full-time equivalent salary ranging from $64900 - $116900. Although this is a good faith and reasonable estimate of the possible compensation at the time of posting Colorado Academy reserves the right to pay more or less than the posted range. Any wage differential that may exist for the position does not relate to sex gender or gender identity but relates solely to a seniority system a merit system or relevant education training and/or experience. Medical Dental Vision and Life Insurance benefit programs are available as is a 403(b) retirement plan. Eligibility for all benefit programs is defined by the applicable plan document.
