The primary purpose of this position is to serve as the primary point of contact to the squadron commander/director for all administrative support programs to include but not limited to task management cybersecurity liaison (CL) Government Travel Card (GTC) program Defense Travel System (DTS) administrator drug demand reduction program health care program ect.


Duties

  1. Directly assists the commander/director in the management of all administrative support program functions. Administers programs and serves as the primary source of information. The incumbent is responsible for the preparation
    maintenance and deposition of required administrative reports and other correspondence.
  2. Serves as the resident subject matter expert for all mandated administrative support programs.
  3. Serves as the organizational point of contact and liaison with the personnel flight on military and civilian personnel issues.
  4. Assists in planning administering and monitoring manpower resource requirements.
  5. Performs other clerical and administrative work in support of the office/organization. Develops establishes updates and maintains office procedures and records/files of various types to ensure effective and efficient operation of the
    office.

Qualifications

Experience requirements are described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions Clerical and Administrative Support Positions.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have or will have within 120 days of the closing of this announcement at least 1 year (52 weeks) of specialized experience at the next lower broadband NK-01 equivalent to the next lower grade GS-04 or equivalent in other pay systems. Specialized experience is experience communicating effectively with customers using tact and courtesy; performing other clerical and administrative work in support of the office/organization; assisting with the development establishment updates and maintaining of office procedures and records/files of various types to ensure effective and efficient operation of the office; based on administrative support program requirements helping to aid with determining administrative needs and assures these needs are met; experience helping to identify and implement processes which can be improved or made more efficient through application of automated technology or other methods. NOTE: Due to the use of 120-day rosters this period of experience may be completed within 120 days of the closing date of this announcement.

EDUCATION Four years of education above the high school level obtained in an accredited business secretarial or technical school junior college college or university. Note: You must submit copies of your transcripts

Have equivalent combinations of successfully completed post high school education and experience directly related to the work of the position as outlined above that meets the requirements of the position. NOTE: You must submit a copy of your transcripts.

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge skills abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
1. Knowledge of the organizational and functional responsibilities and operations of an organization.
2. Knowledge of various office automation software programs tools and techniques to support office operations and produce a variety of documents such as letters reports spreadsheets databases and graphs.
3. Knowledge of structure programs and work methods of organization for personnel/manning issues.
4. Skill in fact-finding problem analysis problem resolutions and development of concrete action plans to solve problems.
5. Ability to gather analyze and present facts communicate effectively using tact and courtesy and possess the ability to plan organize work and meet deadlines.
6. Ability to plan and organize management programs and functions of an organization.

PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.

VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE: Refers to paid and unpaid experience including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e. Peace Corps AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g. professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies knowledge and skills that can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience including volunteer experience.

This is an acquisition demonstration project position NK-2 equivalent to a GS-05 to GS-07.
