Job Summary

Summary

The purpose of the job is to assist professor in updating and maintaining a research project database to perform other related tasks as assigned.

Essential Functions

  • Locate and sort court records news articles video files and other materials by name and/or case number.
  • Log case numbers on all new and supplemental documents.
  • Scan and index documents into OnBase.
  • Enter new case information into object-relational database in OnBase.
  • Complete errata reports for missing data reduction.
  • Assist with training of new undergraduate research assistants.
  • Attend weekly staff meetings.
  • Other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications

  • Junior standing or higher with preference to Criminal Justice Forensic Science and/or Data Science majors.
  • One year of experience working with OnBase.
  • Familiarity and experience working with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Completion of Responsible Conduct in Research training prior to start of job and annual refresher training.
  • Must maintain a cumulative 3.5 GPA or higher on all coursework at BGSU.
Additional Information

  • This position supports Dr. Stinson and his ongoing research project.
  • Continued employment is subject to the availability of grant funding and satisfactory job performance.
  • Must sign confidentiality and non-disclosure agreement each semester.
  • Assigned work hours vary.
