Tumbler Operator 3rd Shift

Job Description:
SPS Technologies is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Nut Tumbler Operator to join our manufacturing team. As a Nut Tumbler Operator you will play a crucial role in the surface finishing process which involves cleaning and polishing metal nuts used in aerospace and industrial applications. You will be responsible for operating monitoring and maintaining tumbler machinery ensuring that all parts meet quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate nut tumbler machines to clean polish and deburr metal nuts according to production specifications.
• Load and unload tumblers ensuring proper placement of parts and materials.
• Monitor tumbler operations making necessary adjustments to maintain optimal performance.
• Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet quality and safety standards using precision measuring tools as needed.
• Maintain and clean equipment perform routine maintenance and reporting any mechanical issues to the maintenance team.
• Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
• Accurately complete production reports and maintain records of completed work.
• Collaborate with quality control and other departments to address any production issues or non-conformances.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a manufacturing environment preferably operating tumbler or finishing equipment.
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to operate and troubleshoot machinery.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced physically demanding environment including lifting heavy objects and standing for long periods.
• Basic math skills and the ability to read and interpret blueprints or technical documents.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team.
