Tree Cutting Laborer

DeAngelo Contracting Services (DCS) is seeking a highly motivated Tree Cutting Laborer with a great attitude and strong ethics. This position is responsible for performing the day-to-day job functions that support all field operations.

Seasonal Employment: This position is seasonal with work availability dependent on weather conditions project needs and workload. Start and end dates may vary based on operational demands.

Responsibilities: 

• Safely climb trees using ropes saddles and other climbing equipment.
• Perform tree pruning trimming cabling and removals according to industry standards.
• Operate chainsaws pole saws chippers stump grinders and other tree care equipment.
• Assist with rigging operations and the controlled lowering of tree limbs and sections.
• Perform ground crew duties including brush cleanup chipping and debris removal as needed.
• Conduct daily inspections of climbing gear tools and equipment.
• Follow all company safety procedures and OSHA regulations.
• Communicate effectively with crew members to ensure safe and efficient job completion.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area vehicles and equipment.
• Work outdoors in various weather conditions and terrain.

Qualifications :

EDUCATION:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent is required.

EXPERIENCE:

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Prior tree climbing experience a plus but not required. 
• Experience with tree pruning and removals preferred.
• Valid drivers license with a clean driving record (MVR) required.
• Ability to travel extensively including trips lasting 56 consecutive weeks at a time.
• Ability to work safely at heights and perform physically demanding outdoor work.
• Strong work ethic reliability and commitment to safety.
