Oversees and coordinates the daily operations of a transportation team ensuring efficient and timely delivery of goods while adhering to safety regulations and company policies.

Tentative Shift: Monday - Friday 5 / 6a start time

Job Responsibilities:

* Supervise train and mentor a team of drivers and transportation personnel.
* Plan organize and dispatch routes for inbound and outbound shipments optimizing for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
* Monitor driver performance including adherence to schedules safety protocols and regulatory compliance (e.g. DOT).
* Investigate and resolve transportation-related issues such as delivery delays damages or customer complaints.
* Maintain accurate transportation records including driver logs mileage reports and vehicle maintenance schedules.
* Ensure compliance with all federal state and local transportation regulations and company safety standards.
* Collaborate with warehousing inventory and customer service departments to ensure seamless logistics operations.
* Conduct regular vehicle inspections and coordinate maintenance and repairs to ensure fleet reliability.
* Implement and enforce company policies and procedures related to transportation operations.
* Participate in the hiring performance evaluation and disciplinary processes for transportation staff.

Job Qualifications:

* High school diploma or GED required; Associates or Bachelors degree in Logistics Supply Chain Management or a related field preferred.
* 3 years of experience in transportation operations with at least 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role.
* Strong knowledge of DOT regulations federal motor carrier safety regulations and other relevant transportation laws.
* Proficiency in transportation management systems (TMS) and other logistics software.
* Excellent communication interpersonal and leadership skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
* Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
* Valid drivers license and a clean driving record. CDL preferred.
* Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds occasionally.
* Flexibility to work varying shifts including evenings weekends and holidays as needed.

The pay range shown below is aligned with McKessons pay philosophy and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations.
