Transportation Planning

AECOM Technical Services Inc. is seeking a Transportation Planning in Oakland CA.

Job Details:

• Lead and manage complex transit and multimodal studies including feasibility studies NEPA/CEQA environmental clearance and alternatives analyses for regional and corridor-level planning efforts
• Conduct technical analyses for transportation projects delivering strategies and recommendations for transit plans and identifying appropriate funding sources
• Conduct multimodal transportation and traffic impact analyses to support land use planning and economic development recommending improvements to existing facilities and enhancing overall transportation system efficiency through a deep understanding of local and regional planning policies
• Support neighborhood planning public involvement and outreach efforts and project development initiatives aimed at improving air quality and reducing congestion pollution and the impact of vehicles in urban areas
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop strategic project proposals engage stakeholders and present findings to advisory boards and elected officials contributing to the growth of planning services and client trust
• May telecommute

Qualifications :

Candidates must have a Bachelors degree in Environmental Planning and Policy Environmental Engineering or a related field of study and 5 years of experience as a Transportation Planner Environmental Engineer or related occupation.

Alternatively the Employer will accept a Masters degree in Environmental Planning and Policy Environmental Engineering or a related field of study and 3 years of experience in a related occupation. 

Position requires experience in the following:

1. ArcGIS
2. Adobe Creative Suite including Photoshop Illustrator and InDesign
3. Microsoft Office Suite including Word Excel and PowerPoint
4. Project management of large-scale transit projects
5. Regional transportation planning processes and policies
6. Studying and analyzing different modes of transportation and traffic impact analysis for economic development.
