Job Summary

At Fehr & Peers our most successful consultants combine technical expertise with strong client relationships business development and project leadership. Were seeking an experienced transportation planning or engineering consultant with approximately 812 years of experience who is excited to continue growing our presence in North Texas while delivering exceptional work for our clients.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys balancing project delivery with business development has established relationships (or the ability to quickly establish them) within the DFW and broader north Texas transportation market and is motivated to help expand our practice while mentoring others. The position follows a hybrid schedule with an expectation of at least three days per week in our downtown Dallas office.

What Youll Do

Lead transportation planning and engineering projects from pursuit through successful delivery serving as the primary point of contact for clients and project teams.

Manage and deliver transportation planning and/or engineering projects in one or more of the following areas depending on your background:corridor studies transportation impact analyses multimodal plans active transportation projects safety analysis mobility impact fees traffic operations analyses transportation system planning travel demand forecasting conceptual design and preparation of plans specifications and estimates (PS&E) for transportation engineering projects including complete streets bikeways traffic signal signing/striping and lighting projects.

Manage direct client interaction and communication with members of the public through community engagement.

Build and strengthen relationships with public agenciesprivate-sectorclients developers institutions and other partners throughout the region.

Identifyand pursue new business opportunities contributing to client strategy proposals interviews and long-term relationship development.

Collaborate with office and regional leadership to grow Fehr & Peers presence and reputation in the local market.

Serve as a trusted advisor by understanding clients goals and delivering practical innovative transportation solutions.

Mentor and develop staff while fostering collaborative high-performing project teams.

Contribute to the long-term success of theOrlandooffice through leadership collaboration and practice growth.

Qualifications

Approximately 812 years of transportation planning or engineering consulting experience.
Demonstrated success leading complex transportation projects from proposal through delivery.
Experience developing client relationships and contributing to practice growth through business development identification of project leads and receiving repeat work.
While not required it is preferable that the candidate have established relationships and experience working with TxDOT regional and local agencies institutional clients developers and private-sector organizations with strong knowledge of the North Texas transportation market.
Strong communication presentation facilitation and relationship-building skills.
A collaborative leadership style with a passion for mentoring and developing staff.
Professional registration (PE or AICP as appropriate) or the ability to obtain it if applicable.
Openness to exploring and responsibly using new technologies and tools while maintaining critical thinking and professional judgment.

$115000 - $155000 a year

Placement within the stated pay range will be determined based upon education experience and qualifications.
