Stockton Unified School District (SUSD) began providing services to students in 1852 and is located in the heart of Californias Central Valley near the banks of the San Joaquin River. Requirements / Qualifications

Please note that applicants currently employed through an outside agency that is under a contract with Stockton Unified School District may not be eligible for employment in this position. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Degree or completion of 48 semester units from accredited college or university. Proof of NCLB Compliance consisting of degree or completion of 48 units or more from an accredited college or university or District Assessment Test/County Certificate showing compliance with NCLB. (SUSD proficiency test taken before 07/01/04 does not meet this requirement). EDUCATION TRAINING AND EXPERIENCEEarly childhood education background and experience working with children ages 3-5 is desired. CERTIFICATES REQUIREDPediatric CPR certificate and a valid First Aid Certificate preferredNo Child Left Behind Federal RequirementHigh School Graduation or GED andMinimum of 48 college units -OR- Proficiency ExamProficiency Exam details:The Proficiency Exam is offered on select Mondays at 8am in the SUSD District office located at 56 S. Lincoln St Stockton CA 95203.-Must register in advance - to 4 hours allotted to complete the exam-Bring a picture ID and proof of High School completion (diploma ortranscript)*Any foreign transcripts must be evaluated*PROOF OF COMPLIANCE MUST BE SUBMITTED WITH APPLICATION*Please note that applicants currently employed through an outside agency that is under a contract with Stockton Unified School District may not be eligible for employment in this position.
