The following information outlines the roles and responsibilities of a Transition Job Coachfunded by a Transition School to Work (TSW) grant.It is a 10 month position.

• Works under the guidance of the Director of Special Education and Transition Case Manager for Laudedale County School System.
• Assists the Transition case Manager in completing referrals on students for possible Vocational Rehabilitation (VR) services.
• Attends meetings with the Transition Case Manager.
• Build positive relationships with all students receiving transition services and VR services.
• Attend district trainings and TSW Job Fairs.
• Teach students job skills interview skills and provide hands-on job experience within the local community.
• Teach students independent living skills self advocacy proper personal hygiene and how to work properly with co-workers.
• Teach a basic job skills curriculum.
• Teach students how to incorporate technology skills into a work environment.
• Communicate with high school Work Base Learning teachers.
• Maintain confidentiality at all times.
