Position Summary

Keep our fleet moving safely efficiently and cost-effectively.

We are looking for a hands-on Transportation Maintenance Supervisor to lead maintenance operations support and develop a team of skilled technicians and drive continuous improvement across our fleet. This is an excellent opportunity for a leader who enjoys solving complex problems building high-performing teams and ensuring equipment is maintained to the highest standards.

In this role youll make a direct impact on fleet reliability operational performance safety and service excellence while working in a collaborative continuous improvement-focused environment.

What Youll Do

• Lead coach and develop maintenance technicians and shop staff to support a high-performing team environment.
• Plan prioritize and oversee preventive maintenance and repair activities to ensure fleet readiness and operational success.
• Monitor maintenance quality through audits inspections and repair order reviews.
• Manage parts inventory and vendor partnerships to maximize equipment uptime and support cost-effective procurement.
• Analyze maintenance costs and identify opportunities to improve efficiency productivity and service levels.
• Promote a strong culture of safety through audits training shop inspections and adherence to safe work practices.
• Partner with drivers operations teams and vendors to resolve maintenance concerns and enhance fleet performance.
• Support budget planning and help manage maintenance expenditures.
• Lead Lean and Continuous Improvement initiatives to streamline processes eliminate waste and improve operational performance.
• Assess repair work and determine the most effective approach for completion whether in-house or through external service providers.

What Youll Bring

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 5 years of fleet maintenance transportation or related operational experience.
• Experience leading teams in a maintenance transportation or shop environment.
• Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance practices parts tools and shop operations.
• Excellent communication organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to quickly learn new systems and technologies.
• Valid drivers license required.
• CDL preferred.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to work in and around a maintenance shop environment.
• Ability to inspect vehicles equipment and repair work in both office and shop settings.
• Ability to move throughout the facility and maintenance areas as needed.
• Ability to occasionally lift carry and move parts tools and equipment in accordance with company safety guidelines.

What Makes You Stand Out

• Bachelors degree in a related field.
• Previous supervisory or management experience.
• Experience using maintenance management systems including TMT or similar platforms.
• Knowledge of Lean principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
• A passion for developing others improving processes and driving operational excellence.
