Training Manager

Our client is a manufacturer in Manchester Iowa whose production work includes welding metal fabrication and assembly.

The Training Manager leads onboarding and ongoing skills and compliance training across the organization making sure employees in every department are trained efficiently safely and in line with company procedures and regulatory requirements.

• Build new-hire onboarding schedules and training checklists with department leaders.
• Deliver structured onboarding company-wide including blueprint reading hand-held MIG welding technique assembly procedures and safe equipment use for production roles.
• Administer skills assessments and sign off new hires for independent work after hands-on observation.
• Design and deliver ongoing skills training across all departments.
• Develop and maintain compliance training including OSHA requirements PPE overhead crane operation and hazard identification.
• Track training records certifications and renewals for audit readiness.
• Coordinate training for new equipment tooling systems and process changes.
• Measure training effectiveness and adjust programs and keep training materials job aids SOPs and e-learning current.

• Bachelors degree in Human Resources Education Business or a related field (required)
• 3-5 years of experience in training learning and development or a related role
• Proven ability to design and deliver hands-on technical training across departments
• Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and industry compliance requirements
• Basic shop math and the ability to read blueprints and specifications
• Strong organization including records and certification tracking
• Excellent communication skills across experience levels and shifts

• Experience training across multiple departments
• Familiarity with welding metal fabrication or assembly

REVENUE: Net 12.5% of first-year salary. Est. fee per hire $10K-$12.5K; 1 seat(s) up to $12.5K if all filled.
