Job Summary
The Leidos Digital Modernization Sector has a current job opportunity for a highly qualified Training Curriculum Development & Training Cadre Lead to support network operations management cybersecurity training and workforce readiness initiatives at DISA Headquarters Fort Meade MD.
This position serves as the people leader and operational lead for a cadre of training professionals responsible for developing coordinating and delivering cybersecurity training workforce development readiness and exercise support. The Training Cadre Lead will provide day-to-day leadership establish priorities manage workload and performance mentor team members and ensure the cadre consistently delivers high-quality training solutions aligned with DISA mission requirements.
The successful candidate will combine strong people leadership and program management skills with experience in training curriculum development workforce readiness and cybersecurity operations. This individual will serve as the primary interface between the training cadre Leidos program leadership government stakeholders subject matter experts and operational organizations.
The ideal candidate is a collaborative and accountable leader who can develop people build a high-performing team manage competing priorities and translate customer requirements into effective training and readiness solutions.
Primary Responsibilities
- Lead mentor and develop a cadre of training professionals supporting cybersecurity training workforce readiness curriculum development and exercises.
- Manage team priorities workloads performance and deliverables to ensure timely high-quality support to customer requirements.
- Coach and develop employees through regular feedback cross-training professional development and certification opportunities.
- Serve as the primary interface between the training cadre Leidos leadership government stakeholders subject matter experts and operational organizations.
- Lead the planning execution and continuous improvement of cybersecurity training and workforce readiness programs.
- Oversee development and maintenance of curricula instructional materials training schedules certification tracking records and readiness metrics.
- Coordinate training cadre support for cybersecurity exercises including scenario development MSELs execution After Action Reports and lessons learned.
- Analyze training effectiveness workforce readiness and stakeholder feedback to identify gaps and recommend improvements.
- Provide leadership with timely updates on team performance program outcomes risks resource needs and recommended actions.
- Foster an accountable collaborative and mission-focused culture that promotes employee engagement continuous learning and operational excellence.
Basic Qualifications
- Active Secret security clearance
- Current DOD 8140 Cyber Workforce Developer and Manager Certification (i.e. Sec )
- Bachelors degree and 8 - 12 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 6 - 10 years of prior relevant experience
- Minimum of 3 years of experience supporting training workforce development readiness programs or instructional design.
- Experience developing and delivering training materials curriculum and instructional content.
- Experience coordinating training programs schedules and participant records.
- Strong analytical organizational and project management skills.
- Experience preparing reports assessments and recommendations for leadership.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and training management tools.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting Department of Defense (DoD) Federal Government or cybersecurity training programs.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity workforce development frameworks and certification programs.
- Experience supporting cyber exercises tabletop exercises readiness programs or operational training events.
- Familiarity with Joint Training Information Management System (JTIMS).
- Familiarity with Joint Lessons Learned Information System (JLLIS).
- Experience developing After Action Reports (AARs) lessons learned analyses and corrective action plans.
- Knowledge of workforce readiness reporting and training metrics.
