What Youll Do as a Trailer Technician

  • Build and assemble tractor-trailers and their components from the ground up.
  • Install hydraulic systems air brake systems trailer lights and electrical wiring.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical hydraulic and electrical issues to identify problems and make needed repairs.
  • Repair and maintain trailers including working on axles and making adjustments.
  • Read basic engineering drawings and instructions to complete assembly and repair work accurately.
  • Use hand tools and shop equipment to complete a variety of hands-on mechanical and fabrication work.
  • Paint and finish trailer parts and components as part of the production process.


Our Ideal Trailer Technician

  • Mechanical Experience: Bring hands-on experience with trailer or mechanical repair; 2 years of welding or fabrication experience is preferred.
  • Technical Knowledge: Experience with hydraulics air brakes/DOT systems or electrical systems is a plus.
  • Practical Skills: Confidently use basic math read a tape measure and follow basic engineering drawings.
  • Physical Capability: Able to bend kneel stand for extended periods and lift up to 75 lbs.
  • Additional Credentials: A State Inspection License or Class A CDL is preferred but not required.
  • Team Mindset: Bring a strong work ethic adaptability and self-motivation to a close-knit faith-based team that values quality work and supporting one another.

Requirements:
