Trade Analyst

Individual base salary for this roleultimately willdepend onnumerousfactors including but not limited to experience job-related skills relevant education or training certifications etc. As such pay for the successful candidate could fall anywhere within the stated range. TheTrade Analystis responsible forthe daily activities of trade managementdeduction managementand collection of accounts receivable. This roleis responsible forallaccountsreceivable-relatedtasks butwill also beutilizedforother related accounting and finance needs as role bridges finance sales and operations to support trade processesmonitorcustomer account performance and contribute to overall financial health.

What will this position do

• Reconcile Customer Invoicing with 3PLs Inventory Reporting
• Accurately process and apply customer deduction spend to the correct GL accounts
• Applies daily cash receipts to customer accounts ensuring accuracy and timely reconciliation.
• Verify all material offsets and deductions charged againstinvoices including but not limited to confirmingthe tradeplanspentviatradeplanning softwareby reviewing plans and contracts.
• Communicate and collaboratewith a wide range of internal and external stakeholders including Kodiak team members customers and brokers.
• Analyze trade deductions claims and promotions toidentifytrends and root causes.
• Provide insights to improve tradespendingefficiency and minimize outstanding receivables.
• Prepare andmaintainweeklyAR aging reports customer payment performance summaries and KPI dashboards.
• Documenttrade agreements payment terms credit policies and report non-compliance.
• Investigate and resolve disputes related to pricing promotions and deductions.
• Work closelywith salescommercialfinance and customer service teams to resolve issues promptly.
• Identifyand implement process improvements to enhance AR management and trade analysis.
• Support the automation of AR and trade finance workflowsthrough uploadsscanners Power BI reportsand partnerwith IT to createcustomer specifictools.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls accounting standards and trade finance policies.
• Dispute andcollectallerroneousmaterial offsets and deductions.
• Collectoutstanding receivables toachieve dayssales outstandingtargets.
• Administer credit procedures for both new and existing customers.
• Assistin the monthly close of financialstatementsincludingreconciliationsandaccruals.
• Assistin preparing andobtainingdocumentation for the annual audit.

Ideally you may also have:

• Bachelors degree in accounting
• CPG Industry experience
• Familiarity with NetSuiteandBluePlanner
