Tooling Technician 2nd Shift

Scheduled Hours: 3pm-12pm training on 1st shift

Position Summary:

The Tooling Technician supports manufacturing by ensuring all dies (and related tooling) are kept in a state of readiness. Perform die preventative maintenance and setup activity on dies for production use.

Essential Functions:

• Disassemble and reassemble dies.
• Setup and trouble shoot die setups on injection presses.
• Minor repair of tooling.
• Using mills lathes and surface grind machines to produce replacement parts.
• Maintain documentation related to tooling setups PMs and modifications.
• Support tooling department as necessary.
• Must follow and adhere to all safety procedures.
• Other duties as assigned by supervision
• Weekend coverage as scheduled

Required Skills:

• Ability to read micrometers and verniers.
• Ability to organize and maintain documentation.
• Demonstrated mechanical or machining capability.
• Forklift certified or willing and able to pass certification.
• Willingness and ability to learn and perform new assignments.
• Good written and verbal communications skills.
• Basic computer skills and proficient in data entry for excel word and outlook
• Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
• Must be self-directed to accomplish goals with minimal supervision.
• Proven records for high attendance and performance

Experience & Education

• State of Ohio Tool and Die Apprenticeship Program Certification or equivalent is desirable.
• Prefer 3 years of experience in a mechanical related technician role in a manufacturing environment.
