Job Summary
Position Overview
This position is a 2nd shift entry level position located in Columbia CT . The apprentice has the opportunity to develop skills through hands-on training learning to manufacture repair and maintain precision tools. Involves hands-on on-the-job training in operating machinery like CNC mills lathes and grinders.

- Assist/support Tool Maker
- Build tooling and/or components to specified requirements
- Perform repair/rework on damaged or out of tolerance parts and tooling to meet requirements
- Set-up and operate CNC mills manual mills and lathes
- Inspect parts and tooling using calibrated measuring equipment
Qualifications
To perform this job successfully the incumbent(s) must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge skill and/or ability required. - High School Diploma or equivalent GED
- Basic math skills to include the ability to add subtract divide and calculate percentages
- Knowledge of basic measuring tools calipers micrometers comparators and math required
- Understanding of GD&T with ability to read and interpret drawing requirements
- Basic blueprint reading
Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
