Job Summary
We are looking for a Tool and Die Maker to join the team at our Norridge IL location. General Summary
Accountable for the construction and repair of molds per customer and company requirements.
Responsibilities
- Examine tool/piece part drawing and determine sequence of operations necessary for construction of mold
- Construct mold to customer specifications
- Notify Tool Room Manager when mold needs to be sent out for heat treating wire burning jig-grinding polishing Blanchard grinding or engraving
- Accountable for inspection of completed mold and completion of steel checklist
- Notify Tool Room Manager when job has been completed and complete New Die Checklist
- Operate CNC mill grinder lathe saw and EDM machine
- Request necessary supplies such as carbon cutters components etc.
- Complete time tickets for operations performed and enter into the computer at the end of shift daily
- Notify Tool Room Manager of any quality concerns
- Stop a job when a nonconformance has been detected and notify Tool Room Manager
- Accountable for assigned repair work and completion of associated repair tags
Required Qualifications
- Mold making
- Blueprint reading
- Use of measuring equipment
- Machine operation
- Computer knowledge
Salary Range: $37.00 - $40.00/hr.
