Tk-8th Education Specialist

Under the supervision of the Site Administrator the Education Specialist provides an educational program for pupils in grades TK-8 and assists in other school programs as assigned. The Education Specialist creates a flexible program and a class environment favorable to learning and personal growth. They establish effective rapport with pupils to motivate them to develop the skills attitudes and knowledge needed to provide a good foundation for further participation in the total school program in accordance with each pupils ability and to meet the California Common Core State Standards. The Education Specialist establishes positive relationships with parents and other staff members and works collaboratively with them to address the diverse needs of students. The Education Specialist will offer a variety of service options including but not limited to pull-out push-in and co-teaching models. A strong background in addressing student behavior is preferred and bilingual proficiency is highly will sit around 20 students.
