    POSITION DETAILS:The position works 186 days per year 8 hours per day. This position will float between various Title I rooms and locations based on staffing needs supporting all ages of the program. This is a grant funded position and funding is awarded on a year by year basis.
    SALARY:

    Salary Range

    $43285 - $52232 annually

    Salary will be commensurate with the experience of the recommended candidate.

    EVSC employees have access to the EVSC Wee Care Learning Centers. The Wee Care program provides a quality early learning experience for employees children as young as six weeks through age five at a special employee rate.

    This position will automatically be enrolled in the Public Employees Retirement Fund (PERF) through the state of Indiana which includes a defined benefit (Pension) as well as an Annuity Savings Account (ASA). Employees may also participate in a 403(b) Plan. Enrolling in the 403(b) plan allows employees to save for their retirement by making a pre-tax salary deferral contributions to the Plan.

    THIS IS A GRANT FUNDED POSITION AND FUNDING IS AWARDED ON YEAR BY YEAR BASIS

    SUMMARY:

    The Early Childhood Lead Instructor - Title I Float is a Title I-funded position assigned exclusively to Title I early childhood sites. This position provides instructional continuity by serving as a floating lead instructor to support classrooms experiencing staffing needs. The Title I Float is responsible for planning and implementing a high-quality developmentally appropriate educational program for infants through Pre-K children while maintaining consistency in classroom operations. Assignments may include covering vacancies due to employee absences vacant positions and extended or long-term leaves of absence. This position fosters a safe nurturing and engaging learning environment that supports the social emotional physical and cognitive development of each child while adapting quickly to different classroom settings.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Other duties may be assigned.

    • Serve as a floating lead instructor assigned exclusively to Title I early childhood sites to provide instructional coverage based on program needs.

    • Fill short-term staffing vacancies resulting from employee absences and open lead instructor positions.

    • Provide extended classroom coverage for long-term vacancies including employee leaves of absence ensuring continuity of instruction and care.

    • Transition effectively between Title I classrooms and sites while maintaining consistent instructional practices classroom routines and compliance with program expectations.

    • Collaborate with building administrators and early childhood leadership to ensure smooth transitions and continuity of services during staffing changes.

    • Utilize a variety of assessment data and observations to differentiate instruction and meet the individual developmental and learning needs of each child.

    • Plan and implement engaging developmentally appropriate learning experiences aligned with the Indiana Early Learning Foundations and the interests of children.

    • Conduct home visits at least once per year to strengthen family partnerships and support student success.

    • Develop and implement strategies that create a welcoming inclusive and family-centered classroom environment.

    • Conduct a minimum of one (1) family/classroom meeting annually to encourage family involvement and communication.

    • Ensure compliance with all applicable local state and federal regulations licensing standards and program requirements.

    • Collaborate with community partners and outside resources to enhance educational opportunities and support services for children and families.

    • Foster a classroom culture that promotes leadership cooperation responsibility and respect among children.

    • Maintain a warm safe nurturing and organized learning environment that encourages exploration creativity and growth.

    • Plan prepare and implement daily indoor and outdoor activities that support the early childhood curriculum and developmental goals.

    • Assume responsibility for the health safety supervision and overall well-being of children at all times.

    • Assist children with toileting diapering feeding handwashing and other self-care needs while maintaining dignity and sanitary practices.

    • Oversee mealtime and snack-time routines including supervision sanitation and required documentation.

    • Maintain accurate daily attendance records and other required program documentation.

    • Maintain ongoing developmental records for each child including physical social-emotional language and cognitive development.

    • Develop and maintain individual child portfolios that include observations photographs work samples and documentation of student progress.

    • Communicate regularly and professionally with families through daily reports notes phone calls conferences and face-to-face conversations.

    • Participate in staff meetings committees professional learning communities (PLCs) and ongoing professional development opportunities.

    • Supervise support and effectively utilize the skills and abilities of instructional assistants and classroom support staff.

    • Collaborate with colleagues to foster a positive respectful and supportive team environment.

    • Maintain confidentiality of student family and program information in accordance with applicable policies and regulations.

    • Provide backup classroom support and coverage when staffing vacancies or absences occur to ensure continuity of care supervision and instruction for children.

    • Maintain good attendance.

    EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

    Bachelors degree in Early Childhood education or a bachelors degree in elementary education with at least 30 hours in early childhood course work.

    LICENSCE/CERTRIFICATIONS:

    Must hold and maintain a valid drivers license and maintain current automobile insurance meeting district minimum coverage requirements.

    LANGUAGE SKILLS:

    • Ability to read and comprehend correspondence memos instructions and documents such as safety rules operating and maintenance instructions and procedural manuals.

    • Ability to write reports and correspondence clearly and concisely and using correct grammar spelling and punctuation.

    • Ability to speak effectively with good grammar with individuals.

    MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

    • Ability to add subtract multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers common fractions and decimals.

    • Ability to compute rate ratio and percent.

    REASONING ABILITY:
