Title I Before or After School Reading and Math Intervention Team Member
Description:
The Title I before and after-school reading and math intervention program will operate Monday through Thursday in two sessions during the school year. Intervention teachers may choose to teach two three or four days per week.
- Session 1 will run from October 5th through December 17th 2026
- Session 2 will run from February 1st through May 20th 2027
The programs will use high-quality tier II and/or III reading and math intervention programs with data-driven groups of students in grades K - 5:
- Literacy groups in grades K - 3 will use Bridge to Reading IMSE Orton-Gillingham and Read Naturally
- Literacy groups in grades 4 - 5 will use Just Words and Read Naturally
- Math groups in grades K - 1 will use Kickstart Math
- Math groups in grades 2 - 5 will use Do the Math
Working Time:
- Program days/times: Monday through Thursday from 6:45 AM - 7:45 AM OR 2:45 PM - 3:45 PM
- Program dates:
- Session 1 will run from October 5th through December 17th 2026
- Session 2 will run from February 1st through May 20th 2027
- Required training dates:
- Session 1: September 28th 2026 from 3:15 - 4:45
- Session 2: January 25th 2027 from 3:15 - 4:45 (do not need to attend if did session 1)
Qualifications:
- Current assignment as a Classroom Teacher ESL Teacher Special Education Teacher or Interventionist at the Keverian Lafayette Madeline English Parlin Webster or Whittier Schools.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience and Proficiency in administering Elementary Literacy and Math Screening Assessments
- Experience and proficiency with district-approved intervention programs
- Literacy: Heggerty Just Words Read Naturally
- Math: Kickstart Math Do the Math
Essential Duties:
- Lead group instruction in literacy or math using district-assigned interventions.
- Maintain and report student attendance on a weekly basis.
- Progress monitor student using math or early literacy screeners
- Ongoing communication with families
- Share updates on the progress of lessons with the Director of Title I and the Manager of Extended Learning.
- Ensure the arrival and dismissal of students as needed from instruction.
Remuneration:
When applying staff members will have the option to work either two three or four days per week. Remuneration will be at $40/hour for the number of hours worked plus 1 hour per week for teacher preparation. Maximum stipends for each option:
- Two days per week: $1380 for Session 1 and $1620 for Session 2
- Three days per week: $1820 for Session 1 and $2140 for Session 2
- Four days per week: $2260 for Session 1 and $2660 for Session 2
Number of Positions:
40 positions total pending FY 27 Title I funding. Appointments will be made at the Keverian Lafayette Madeline English Parlin Webster and Whittier Schools.
