Position Summary
The Tissue Specialist I is responsible for the precise assembly of sewn structural heart devices in a cleanroom manufacturing environment. This role requires exceptional attention to detail strong fine motor skills and the ability to perform intricate sewing tasks using suture and needle under a microscope.
The ideal candidate will be comfortable performing highly detailed repetitive work while maintaining strict quality standards and compliance with manufacturing procedures.
Key Responsibilities
Assemble sewn structural heart devices according to approved manufacturing procedures.
Perform precision sewing using suture and needle under a microscope.
Utilize small hand tools calibrated instruments measuring equipment microscopes and test fixtures.
Ensure all materials and components used in manufacturing meet required specifications and quality standards.
Support activities related to product design testing verification and validation for new and existing products.
Follow established procedures while maintaining compliance with quality and regulatory requirements.
Collaborate with team members to achieve production goals and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Ability to perform extremely detailed and precision-oriented work.
Strong fine motor skills and excellent hand-eye coordination.
Experience working in a cleanroom manufacturing environment preferred.
Ability to sew using suture and needle preferably under magnification.
Comfortable working with microscopes for extended periods.
Familiarity with small tools measurement equipment and manufacturing processes.
Education
High School Diploma or GED preferred or equivalent relevant experience.
Work Environment
Cleanroom manufacturing environment requiring strict adherence to contamination control practices.
Requires repetitive fine motor tasks and extended periods of focused detailed work.
Must maintain accuracy consistency and attention to detail throughout the manufacturing process.
