- Self-Inspection & Quality Assurance: Thoroughly examine and measure all finished workpieces using shop gauges prior to official QA submission.
- Equipment & Shop Maintenance: Keep assigned welding stations machinery and tools running in peak condition; clean and return all gear to its proper place after project completion.
- Operational Efficiency: Execute assignments within production deadlines while navigating the ERP system to track job progress according to company protocols.
- Collaborative Problem-Solving: Identify manufacturing bottlenecks report challenges to shop supervisors promptly and propose practical solutions to the Lean leadership team.
- Safety First: Maintain strict adherence to all safety protocols personal protective equipment (PPE) rules and environmental hazard guidelines.
- Welding Expertise: Proven capability in TIG welding thin-gauge metals with flawless penetration along with baseline proficiency in MIG processes.
- Blueprints & Math: Advanced literacy in technical drawings schematics and blueprint reading supported by strong shop mathematics.
- Tooling & Inspection: Mastery of common shop machinery hand tools and precision measurement instruments.
- Lean & Tech Mindset: Comfortable using basic computer software (E2 software experience is a plus) and driven by a continuous improvement philosophy.
- Core Competencies: Excellent organizational skills the ability to juggle multiple priorities and clear communication with teammates.
- Experience & Licensing: Minimum of 5 years in a manufacturing/metal fabrication environment and a valid drivers license.
