Job Summary

Overview

Provide routine rehabilitation activities to aid in the delivery of patient care under the direct supervision of a licensed physical therapist occupational or speech therapist. Responsible for transferring and transporting of therapy patients.

Responsibilities

Communicates with patients team members and other professionals for the purpose of sharing information that will assist in achieving optimum care for the patient. Establishes effective rapport with patients of all direct patient care related activities and assists a licensed physical occupational or speech therapist following demonstration of competency in each licensed therapists in providing group therapy services in physical PT OT and/or potential patient problems or observations of change in patient behavior to the attending daily sanitation of gym areas. Cleans equipment tables mats and other areas of patient patient safety by reporting issues through established channels and participates in safety initiatives as in the continuous quality improvement appropriate safety and infection control measures pertaining to patient care equipment and the general working environment. Promptly reports any problems to immediate participates in departmental meetings in-services and continuing education with organizational and departmental patient satisfaction initiatives. Routinely meets the needs and expectations of patient and appropriate personnel of equipment malfunctions and follows through with appropriate repair competencies in a timely manner.

Qualifications

Education: High School Diploma or GED Work Experience: Previous healthcare experience preferred

Salary Range

The compensation range for this position is $15.91per hour - $25.77per hour. This represents a good faith minimum and maximum range for the role at the time of posting by Carle Health. The actual compensation offered a candidate will be dependent on a variety of factors including but not limited to the candidates experience qualifications location training licenses shifts worked and compensation model.
