Steven A. Cohen Military Family Clinic
Starting Salary: $84000-$87000
The Steven A. Cohen Military Family Clinic provides high-quality accessible mental health care to post-9/11 veterans active-duty service members National Guard members Reservists and their families.
Were seeking a licensed therapist who is passionate about evidence-based treatment and committed to serving those who have served our country. This role offers the opportunity to provide meaningful care in a highly supportive mission-driven environment focused on clinical excellence and therapist well-being.
Our clinicians benefit from manageable caseloads structured treatment episodes regular consultation and ongoing training in leading evidence-based practices.
- Competitive salary: $84000-$87000
- Manageable caseloads
- Structured short-term treatment model (typically 8-12 sessions)
- Ongoing training and consultation in:
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
- Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT)
- Prolonged Exposure (PE)
- Weekly clinical consultation and supervision
- Collaborative multidisciplinary treatment team
- Opportunity to work with veterans active-duty service members and military families
- Meaningful mission-driven clinical work
- Work environment designed to support clinician success and sustainability
- Primarily daytime schedule
- One evening commitment each week with services provided until 7:00 PM on Wednesdays
- Conduct comprehensive intake assessments and psychosocial evaluations
- Develop treatment plans based on client needs and clinical presentation
- Provide individual couples and family therapy
- Deliver evidence-based treatments for PTSD anxiety depression grief relationship concerns and other behavioral health conditions
- Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation
- Coordinate care with physicians case managers caregivers and other treatment team members
- Participate in weekly clinical supervision and administrative meetings
- Support positive treatment outcomes through high-quality client-centeredcare
- Masters degree in Social Work Counseling Marriage and Family Therapy Psychology or a related behavioral health field
- Active independent licensure in Georgia as:
- LCSW
- LPC
- LMFT
- Experience providing psychotherapy to adults children couples and families
- Experience diagnosing and treating behavioral health conditions using DSM-5 criteria
- Experience assessing and treating trauma and PTSD
- Eligibility to become a TRICARE Certified Mental Health Counselor (TCMHC)
- Experience working with military members veterans and military families
- Experience delivering evidence-based trauma treatments
- Certification or demonstrated proficiency in:
- Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT)
- Prolonged Exposure (PE)
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
- Experience treating:
- Depression
- Anxiety disorders
- Grief and bereavement
- Family and relationship concerns
- Substance use disorders
