POSITION SUMMARY

The Testing Center Coordinator ensures the secure equitable and timely administration of exams and academic accommodation for students with documented disabilities. This role is responsible for overseeing proctored testing maintaining exam security compliance and confidentiality and coordinating accommodations in close collaboration with students faculty and campus partners.

The coordinator approaches this work with empathy patience and professionalism recognizing that testing environments can be highâstress for addition to managing testing operations the role provides individualized academic support.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Schedules exams and testing spaces in collaboration with faculty and the academic departments.
  • Communicates regularly with students and faculty regarding testing procedures schedules and requirements.
  • Trains student workers who may serve as proctors.
  • Maintains accurate testing records documentation and reports.
  • Monitors and enforces testing protocols and addresses irregularities or concerns as they arise.
  • Responsible for exam security confidentiality testing compliance and ethical testing practices.
  • Supports students with disabilities testing anxiety or access needs in a professional and supportive manner.
  • Uses flexible studentâcentered approaches to support students with testing accommodations.
  • Maintains accurate records case notes and confidential student files in compliance with institutional policies and applicable regulations.
  • Coordinates and administers academic testing services for students including accommodated and non-accommodated exams.
  • Supports the Assistant Director - Academic Support Services by contributing to the review and improvement of testing policies procedures and workflows. Reflects and implements streamlined practices.
  • Any and all other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFCATIONS

Education:

  • Associates degree or equivalent experience in lieu of.

Experience:

  • Minimum of one (1) year of administrative office experience.

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Musthave strong computer experience includingabilityto work effectively with MS Office suite be proficient in Excel.
  • Exceptional organizational skills withabilityto prioritize daily workflow.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment withdemonstratedability to juggle multiple competing tasks and demands while achieving deadlines under pressure.
  • Excellent written verbal communicationskills.
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision while collaborating effectively as part of a team.
  • Must havedemonstratedability intime management problemsolvingand interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to take copious notes and transcribe/prepare documents.
  • Must have the ability to work with all levels within an organization.
  • Ability to use sound judgement and discretion in handling sensitive student/faculty issues with confidentiality.
  • Requires continual attention to detail in composingtypingand proofing materials.
  • Ability to analyze information to formulate reports.

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Must be able to work overtimeonnights and weekends as required by business needs.
  • Must be available to work a flexible work schedule.
  • Able to bend stoop or reach as needed.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to twenty-five (25) pounds (such as file boxes binders officesuppliesetc.).
  • Regular work requiresthe use of a computer sometimesin excess ofeight (8) hours per day.
