Job Summary:
The Test & Validation Engineer plays a critical handson role in ensuring product performance quality and reliability through realworld testing and problem solving. This position is responsible for building installing and inspecting undercarriage components based on customer needs while validating that products perform as expected in the field.
This role goes beyond traditional testingyoull be actively working with equipment troubleshooting issues and making adjustments to ensure optimal performance. By partnering closely with engineering and crossfunctional teams youll help identify opportunities for improvement resolve technical challenges and contribute to delivering highquality solutions to customers.

What You Will Do:
- Performs product testing and validation activities to ensure components meet performance quality and reliability standards.
- Builds installs and inspects undercarriage systems based on customer requirements ensuring proper fit function and overall system performance.
- Troubleshoots technical issues identified during testing and installation diagnoses root causes and completes necessary repairs or adjustments.
- Analyzes test results inspection findings and field data to identify trends risks and opportunities for product improvement.
- Collaborates with engineering and crossfunctional teams to communicate findings support issue resolution and drive product enhancements.
- Develops and follows test procedures ensuring accurate documentation of results and adherence to engineering standards and safety guidelines.
- Supports continuous improvement initiatives by identifying inefficiencies in testing installation and validation processes and recommending solutions.
- Provides technical support and feedback to improve product design quality and customer satisfaction.
Education requirement:
- Candidates should possess a Bachelors degree in Engineering or demonstrate equivalent knowledge through extensive professional expertise.
What skills you will have:
Product Testing: Executes and supports product testing activities to validate performance quality and reliability against defined requirements. Builds installs and inspects undercarriage components based on customer requirements ensuring products meet operational standards. Develops and follows test plans while accurately documenting results and ensuring all testing is conducted in accordance with engineering standards.
Troubleshooting Technical Problems: Identifies investigates and resolves technical issues uncovered during testing and installation activities. Diagnoses problems with undercarriage components performs root cause analysis and supports repairs or adjustments to ensure proper functionality. Collaborates with engineering teams to implement corrective actions that improve product performance and reliability.
Analytical Thinking: Analyzes test data inspection results and field observations to evaluate product performance and identify areas for improvement. Uses datadriven insights to interpret findings support validation decisions and provide recommendations that enhance product quality installation efficiency and overall customer satisfaction.
Additional Information:
This position requires the candidate to work onsite five days a week at the Peoria IL office.

Summary Pay Range:
$97530.00 - $146290.00Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors job level market locationjob-related knowledge skills individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
