Job Summary

PGS Worldwide is seeking a Test Technician in Goleta California for a one-year onsite contract-to-hire role supporting a leading aerospace & defense company. This position will support engineers by executing component- and system-level testing maintaining test documentation troubleshooting test issues and supporting manufacturing inspection and test engineering activities.

Required Skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent with 5 years of additional education and/or related experience.
  • 5 years of experience as a technician in a manufacturing engineering or test environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
  • Experience executing component- and system-level test procedures.
  • Experience collecting recording formatting and analyzing technical test data.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office applications and working with process documentation.
  • Experience working in cleanroom and environmental test environments.
  • Ability to troubleshoot test equipment test processes and related manufacturing or engineering issues.
  • Ability to maintain technical documentation including procedures and test reports.
  • Ability to work multiple shifts as required.
  • Availability to work overtime and weekends as needed.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Ability to safely manipulate equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • U.S. citizenship required.
What Youll Do
  • Provide test and technical support to engineers across a variety of engineering and manufacturing activities.
  • Execute component- and system-level test plans procedures and test events.
  • Participate in test planning and test readiness reviews.
  • Analyze measurement requirements and equipment measurement tolerances.
  • Conduct tests and record data for engineering evaluation and analysis.
  • Maintain and improve documented test processes equipment and infrastructure.
  • Gather compile format and maintain component- and system-level test results and engineering data.
  • Maintain engineering procedures test reports and related technical documentation.
  • Identify troubleshoot and resolve test-related problems.
  • Support manufacturing inspection and test engineering personnel with technical issues.
  • Analyze test data and prepare reports in customer-required formats.
  • Support internal and external customer requirements.
Work Schedule / Shift
  • Full-time onsite position.
  • 9/80A schedule.
  • Must be able to support multiple shifts.
  • Overtime and weekend work may be required.
Pay
  • $55.07 per hour.
