Experience in test systems and cabling is crucial for this role. High level of cable build and repair experience desired.
Education: Minimum A.A/ A.S Degree
Onsite: Yes Melbourne FL
Work Schedule: Wednesdays- Sundays; 1st shift hours.
Melbourne is a 9/80 overtime rule work site.

Job Description
Test Engineering Support Technician - Avionics Test Engineering (onsite)
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
Provide debug and repair support for test assemblies for manufacturing activities for various internal customers.
Read engineering drawings and use lookup tools.
ITA (Interface Test Adapter) fixture and integrated rack system verification and inspection.
Cable harness repair and build including inspection and continuity verification.
Build and inspection of all levels of electronic components onto Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs) cable connectors and electronic parts according to specifications.
Solid understanding of written/verbal instruction methods used by customers.
QUALIFICATIONS YOU MUST HAVE:
Experience in debug and repair of test assemblies fixtures cables and/or circuit card assemblies (CCAs)
Typically requires HS Diploma or AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post-high school training) with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
QUALIFICATIONS WE PREFER:

Degree or completed coursework in engineering technology or electronics.
Prior experience working in an electronics manufacturing or laboratory role.
Experience reading engineering drawings and using lookup tools.
Experience with multi-pin cable and connector construction. IPC certification for cable inspection a plus.
Experience with panel and fixture construction and integrated rack installation.
Knowledge of different soldering materials fluxes and solders and their appropriate usage. Familiarity with soldering equipment tools and accessories
