Appointment Type and Details
This is a tenure-track faculty appointment. Applicants must hold a Ph.D. in Finance or a closely related field conferred no later than the position start date of August 15 2027. This full-time 9-month academic appointment (August May) has an annual salary paid over 12 consecutive months allowing for continuous benefits coverage. The standard teaching load for tenure-track faculty isover a two-year cycle with expectations to advise students and provide service to the department college and university. Position Description and Department Environment
The Department of Finance seeks a teacher-scholar with research and teaching interests in all areas of finance. The ideal candidate will demonstrate interest and potential to engage in collaborative interdisciplinary research and teaching. Faculty responsibilities include maintaining an active program of scholarship teaching (typical class size ranges from 20 to 30 students) advising undergraduate and/or graduate students mentoring students and contributing to department college and university service.
Successful candidates will share our commitment to the mission of the College of Business Administrationto advance knowledge and develop business leaders with moral courage and creative confidence to be a force for goodas well as the United Nations Principles for Responsible Management Education and Sustainable Development Goals.
To support research the College subscribes to standard databases in WRDS (Compustat CRSP Execucomp etc.) and provides funding for data purchases journal submissions and conference travel.
