Pine Tree Country Club located in Birmingham AL is pleased to announce an excellent career opportunity for a part-time Tennis Shop Attendant! We are seeking a driven individual who is eager to learn contribute and grow within a fast-paced hospitality-focused property organization. As part of Troon you will contribute to a global leader in golf and community management.
- Performs opening and closing procedures for the shop or store as determined by management
- Ensures accountability for POS transactions
- Collects applicable fees from members guests and outside patrons as they arrive
- Makes court clinic lesson and special event reservations in person or by phone
- Assists guests by selling merchandise and providing information in a professional manner
- Assists with rotating stock and keeping displays clean and orderly
- Assists with general cleaning of the shop or store
- Assists shop supervisor with creating appealing displays
- Assists with monthly physical inventories
- May work with coaches to facilitate orderly start and play times
- Incorporates safe work practices in job performance
- Maintains regular and reliable attendance
- Performs other duties as required or needed
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months of related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to read and speak English may be required in order to perform the duties of the job (e.g. the associates may be required to communicate with English-speaking customers or co-workers the manuals for the equipment the associates may use are in English)
- Ideal candidate will be an active tennis player with knowledge of the game
- Retail sales experience is preferred
- Computer proficiency including but not limited to POS Microsoft Office applications social media and other programs related to tennis such as or ClubAutomation
- Frequently stands and uses hands reaches with hands and arms and talks or hears
- Regularly walks sits climbs balances stoops kneels crawls or crouches
- Regularly lifts up to 10 pounds and occasionally lifts up to 50 pounds
- Occasionally works in outdoor weather conditions
- Noise level is moderate
