Interest in technology inventory management logistics and warehouse operations
Proficient in verbal and written communications
Primary Purpose:
Work with Katy ISD Asset Management staff to provide technology assets to students and staff across the district. Assist in maintaining the asset technology warehouse inventory and asset management database. Receive and process all technology in the warehouse and coordinate distribution of technology assets to appropriate schools or facilities. Properly dispose of technology assets in accordance with district processes.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
- Receive inspect and process incoming technology assets delivered to the warehouse.
- Apply asset tags and accurately record new technology equipment in the districts asset management system (KAMS).
- Prepare stage and package technology orders for delivery to campuses and district departments.
- Organize maintain and track inventory to ensure accurate warehouse records and efficient asset distribution.
- Assist with inventory control procedures including asset verification and reconciliation.
- Support annual district inventory audits by conducting RFID scanning and asset verification at campuses and district facilities.
- Document asset transfers receipts and inventory transactions using the districts asset tracking system (KAMS).
- Assist with the delivery pickup and transportation of technology equipment between the warehouse and district locations.
- Maintain a clean safe and organized warehouse environment.
- Perform routine inventory counts and report discrepancies to Asset Management staff.
- Assist in identifying sorting and processing surplus or retired technology equipment.
- Follow district procedures for asset management inventory control and data accuracy.
- Provide excellent customer service when interacting with district staff regarding technology requests and asset distribution.
Equipment Used:
Hand tools pallet jacks box cutters dollies personal computer printer and scanner.
Working Conditions:
Climbing stooping bending kneeling lifting heavy equipment (50 lbs). Frequent district wide travel. Work around machinery and vehicles with moving parts (dock ramps tailgates forklifts and pallet jacks). Repetitive hand motions prolonged use of computers.
