Job Summary

PRIMARY PURPOSE: Support the needs of Technology Directors

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent is required; associate or bachelors degree in business administration or a related field is a plus.
  • Minimum of 35 years of administrative or executive support experience preferably in a technology or education environment.


SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:

  • Proficiency required in operating a personal computer
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite such as Word PowerPoint and Excel
  • Self-motivated demonstrated ability to work under pressure handle multiple tasks prioritize necessary actions and work collaboratively
  • Maintain a high level of integrity regarding work with confidential records
  • Possess a strong understanding of appropriate leading-edge technologies.
  • Must be a critical thinker with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Strong organizational written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to demonstrate a professional appearance and attitude maintain confidentiality and abide by the policies of the Cypress Fairbanks Independent School District.

SALARY:

$19.00/hr

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

  • Provide administrative and telephone support to the director and department staff as needed.
  • Manage and maintain departmental communications including news updates and announcements.
  • Assist the Technology Department with data entry related to third-party purchasing database maintenance hardware and software requests installation requests budget codes and coordination with campuses for order processing.
  • Coordinate and organize department calendars meeting agendas schedules and room arrangements for Technology staff meetings.
  • Prepare and manage correspondence for Directors; perform general office tasks such as drafting memos and letters filing answering calls taking messages copying and faxing for the Technology Department.
  • Process purchases orders including matching invoices and packing slips preparing and copying purchase documents and maintaining a purchase request log or database.
  • Assist with the hiring process by creating and submitting job requisitions through the Applicant Tracking System (TED) conducting applicant prescreening scheduling interviews communicating with candidates (both directly and through TED) preparing applicant packets for interview panels and reserving interview rooms.
  • Assist with the onboarding of new hires by coordinating account setup providing access to required systems issuing badges parking tags keys and alarm codes and facilitating the ordering of furniture and/or equipment.
  • Order and maintain department supplies; oversee distribution organization and inventory.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state laws State Board of Education rules and local board policies.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

  • Tools/Equipment Used: Standard office equipment including personal computer and peripherals
  • Work with frequent interruptions maintain emotional control under stress
  • Posture: Prolonged sitting; occasional bending/stooping pushing/pulling and twisting
  • Motion: Repetitive hand motions frequent keyboarding and use of mouse; occasional reaching
  • Lifting: Occasional light lifting and carrying (less than 15 pounds)

This is a temporary assignment. The length of the temporary assignment will be determined based on project needs.
