Valid California credential authorizing service as a teacher in the assigned level and in assigned subject area. Additionally Educational Code section 48000(g) requires credentialed teachers who are first assigned to a TK classroom after July 1 2025 to have one of the following:At least 24 units in early childhood education or childhood development or both Professional experience in a classroom setting with preschool age children comparable to the 24 units of has established the following in accordance with Education Code section 48000(g)(4)(B) comparable experience to be defined as one of the following: Ten (10) years of Transitional Kindergarten and/or Kindergarten experience in a public-school setting. (If any of the years were served in a district other than RUSD a letter from the previous district on district letterhead must be obtained verifying the years and grades taught.)Five (5) years of Transitional Kindergarten and/or Kindergarten experience in a public-school setting. (If any of the years were served in a district other than RUSD a letter from the previous district on district letterhead must be obtained verifying the years and grades taught) AND a minimum of twelve (12) units in early childhood education or childhood development or Development Teacher Permit issued by the Commission on Teacher Credentialing
