We are hiring (1) Part-time Temporary Position(s)

  • This temporary position will end October 31 2026 the scheduled hours for this position will be 20 hours per week.

  • Part-time employees are paid hourly; the monthly salary will be prorated (the salary range listed in the job announcement applies to full-time positions).

  • Part-time employees are eligible for benefits and holiday pay on a prorated basis according to their work schedule.

Summary of Duties

As a Temporary Lodging Assistant you will:

  • Stay with and supervise children throughout the day or night in temporary lodging and transport them to different destinations as needed.

  • Focus on in-home safety planning and prevention when not in temporary lodging by providing detailed documentation support engagement and promptly reporting any concerns.

  • Review and implement supervisory and safety plans while also supporting their behavior and emotional needs. Maintain care for children related to hygiene basic needs school attendance appointments and transportation.

  • Treat people with compassion and dignity ensuring that children and family members feel respected and valued.

Minimum Qualifications

A valid drivers license and acceptable driving record are required for this position.

  • One year of experience working in a human services or behavioral health setting; OR

  • An associate degree in any field; OR

  • An equivalent combination of education and experience.

We are looking for candidates with:

  • Previous experience working with children and youth in a human services capacity.

  • Builds rapport with children and families through warm respectful and strength-based interactions.

  • Experience communicating clearly and respectfully with children families caregivers and professionals across varied cultural and community contexts.

Working Conditions

  • Work will take place in offices participants homes and various community locations.

  • Frequent travel is required for transporting children or families and completing caserelated activities.

  • This is a part-time position; the work schedule will be:

    • Monday Friday 5 PM 8 AM OR

    • 20 hours over the weekend (Saturday Sunday) Weekend hours may be flexible and will be determined before hire.

  • You may interact with individuals experiencing trauma or emotional distress and there may be times when individuals have difficulty managing their emotional responses.

  • You may encounter situations requiring quick decisionmaking to ensure your safety or the safety of others.

  • Activities may include traversing stairs move across uneven terrain and assisting children (up to 50 pounds) in and out of car seats.
