Temporary Help Pool Maintenance Helper (Mover)

Job Summary
The Temporary Mover is responsible for moving university office furniture non-sensitive laboratory equipment non-sensitive healthcare equipment and other equipment and supplies as requested by university staff faculty and students.
This position is not benefit eligible.
Responsibilities
- Moves and transports office furniture laboratory equipment health care equipment and other equipment or supplies.
- Drives UT vehicles to various locations in the process of transferring or storing University property equipment or supplies.
- Assists in the relocation of surplus property.
- Sets up arranges or takes down equipment for special events.
- Assists in the cleanup of construction sites.
- Removes snow ice and debris during inclement weather from parking garages sidewalks and other areas.
- Performs other duties as required.
Qualifications
EDUCATION: High School Diploma or GED. (TRANSCRIPT REQUIRED)
EXPERIENCE: Six (6) months of satisfactory work performance in a moving company or experience in a related area. Must have a valid Drivers License.
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Ability to operate a standard shift truck.
- Good oral communication skills.
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 75 lbs.
- Ability to perform physical labor outside and inside for extended periods.
