Temporary Educational Supervisor (Grades 8-12)

As a Temporary Educational Supervisor at Aaron School you will play a key leadership role in supporting high-quality instruction and student success across Grades 812. Working closely with the administrative team faculty students and families you will oversee instructional practices support teacher development and help ensure that students with special needs receive effective individualized academic and behavioral support.

What Youll Need

• Masters degree in Education Special Education or a closely related field

• Current New York State certification in Special Education

• Strong knowledge of research-based teaching strategies interventions and best practices for students with special needs

• Experience supervising coaching or mentoring teachers and providing constructive actionable feedback

• Strong understanding of curriculum development differentiated instruction assessment classroom management and student progress monitoring

• Excellent communication collaboration problem-solving and organizational skills

• Ability to work effectively with faculty school leadership students and families.

What Youll Do

• Partner with the administrative team to support high-quality programming and instruction for students with special needs

• Supervise coach and evaluate teachers providing actionable feedback and supporting ongoing professional development

• Oversee instructional practices including lesson planning differentiation assessment classroom management and student engagement

• Monitor student progress and collaborate with faculty students and families to develop academic behavioral and social-emotional support plans

• Support curriculum development and ensure instruction reflects current research and best practices in special education

• Participate in student admissions transitions orientations and other school-wide programs and initiatives

• Monitor student attendance and behavior support DOE impartial hearing processes as needed and complete additional responsibilities assigned by school leadership
