About the Opportunity

Summary:

The Temporary Assistant Coach Diving will assist the head coach in maintaining a highly competitive Division I program to include recruitment of prospective student-athletes practice and game coaching fundraising community service off-season conditioning and administrative tasks.

This temporary role also oversees the day-to-day operation maintenance and administration of Barletta Pool; oversees the hiring training testing and certification of lifeguards; ensures that all appropriate water health and safety standards are maintained. Responsible for the continued assessment and upkeep of the pool; required to work on pre-determined weekends mornings and evenings to cover events throughout the year.

There is potential for a full-time position for the right candidate.

Qualifications:

Assistant Coach Diving: A bachelors degree is required. Candidate must have two to four years of diving coaching and recruiting experience in Division I Womens Swimming & Diving; a thorough knowledge of recruiting practices and NCAA regulations; good organizational communication and time management skills;

and the ability to take on multiple tasks and work independently or in a team setting. Must be willing to work nights and weekends as well as be available for travel depending on the team schedules. Previous collegiate competition experience is preferred.

Pool Manager: Currently hold/willing to obtain: Certification/Licensure American Red Cross Lifeguard Instructor Certification American Red Cross Professional Rescuer CPR/AED Instructor Certification and National Swimming Pool Foundation Certified Pool Operator Certification. Ability to recruit supervise and

train employees including organizing prioritizing and scheduling work assignments. Knowledge of swimming pool water chemistry temperature and cleanliness standards. Ability to inspect facility for risk management or maintenance concerns and identify resolutions.
