Teleserve Operator

• Receives non-emergency calls via the phone or in person for law enforcement assistance
• Compiles necessary information and completes incident report on all requests in compliance with Georgia law
• Assesses non-emergency calls determines necessary action and dispatches requests as necessary
• Maintains daily records and files of all service requests for tracking purposes
• Communicates with other departments as needed to request or provide information
• Testifies in Court
• Performs other duties of a similar nature or level

• This job is a safety sensitive position that will require a pre-employment drug test and subsequent random drug and alcohol testing.
• This job requires fingerprinting.
• This job is a civilian position in a public safety department with close ties to public safety. Due to the sensitive nature of this position a public safety background is required which may include motor vehicle & criminal histories and fingerprinting.

• The grade for this position is B21(1). Salary will be dependent on education and experience.
  

• High School Diploma or GED AND
• One year experience in a law enforcement environment
• Or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job
  

• Must obtain Basic Terminal Operator of GCIC/NCIC certification within one year.
• Effective 4/11/2023 this position is eligible for the Employee Referral Program.
